COMPETITION TERMS AND CONDITIONS
FOR THE 20TH MUSIC FESTIVAL – FENS 2015
in categories: CHILDREN (6-9 and 10-12 years), TEENAGERS (13-15 years), NEW SCENE (16-19 years) that will be held from 26th to 29th june 2015.
PARTICIPANTS: The advertisement is open to artists with compete with unpublished, unreleased and not public preformed songs, also lyrics. Each author could participate with more songs. By filling out and submitting the festival application form authors and artists agree that the work and information submitted could be used in the festival marketing and publicity across all media types, their performance be recorded, played and used for radio and television broadcasting, on promotional events and the festival, published on audio and video carriers (CDs, DVDs and other promotional materials of the festival). Authors could not withdraw their songs from the competition after the completion of the selection. By participating in the competition authors agree to all terms in the advertisement.
REQUIRED MATERIALS FOR APPLICATION:
1. A completed application form (*Please download the document at the top of this page): with all information required about the applicant and the artist (first and last name, mailing address, most reliable telephone number and e-mail address, website, number of group members), the title of the song, information about authors (music, lyrics and arrangement), list of all performers with one member stated as the representative of the group. If authors or performers apply under a pseudonym, the true identity must be shown.
2. One (1) audio recording of the song recorded exclusively on CD: the first track should be the full song recording (demo or finished recording version) with the main and back vocals, the second track should be the playback recording (without main vocals). The song length should be of maximum three (3) minutes. If the song is longer than 3 minutes the selection jury will be deciding on its classification on the festival program.
3. Other required materials should be put on a second CD or sent to the e-mail address fens.press@gmail.com:
- a short CV of the artist performer in a .doc or .pdf format document,
- one (1) copy of the lyrics in a .doc or .pdf format document,
- a recent photo (a portrait of the artist or group photo) in .jpg or .tiff format.
4. A completed statements form with signatures (*Please download the document at the top of this page)
- from performers and potential publishers that the organizer is free to record the songs on a audio or video carrier for promotional purposes of the festival and consents that the songs competing can be included to any audio or video carrier without fees: to the festival promotional materials, to compilations from previous or future selections.
- from authors with their guarantee that the song in the competition is their original work and that in this regard they shall have all the moral and material responsibilities for any third-party claims and damages, which would in this respect impact the organizer of the festival,
- from authors and performers for an unpublished song that guarantees that the song has never been published or broadcasted in any public,
- from authors and performers and the potential publisher that guarantees their agreement to the terms and conditions set in the advertisement.
SELECTION CRITERIA: The selection jury will evaluate and select songs by listening to the recordings received in the application. The festival jury will evaluate and select songs by listening to the final recordings and by evaluating the live performances of artists on the day of the event.
AWARDS: Awards for rankings from 1st to 3rd places in each category, an award for best lyrics and for best performance of the festival. Special awards of the FeNS festival to attend international festivals Raspjevane pahuljice in Mrkonjić Grad (Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina), festival Zvezdićki (Asterisks) in Prilep (Macedonia) and Školjkice (Little shells) in Novi Sad (Serbia), and finally the award Grand Prix for the best performer of the festival chosen by the International Association WAF. And prizes from sponsors.
The deadline for applications is 5th May 2015 – Applicants should send their application form and materials to the address: Agencija Plahutnik, Bošamarin 32, 6000 Koper, Slovenia, with reference to Fens 2015.
FEE: The participation at the festival is free. For the songs that will be selected for competition there is a registration fee of 122 € (tax included) which should be sent to the account number of SI56 10100-0029020843 (Agencija Plahutnik d.o.o., Banka Koper, Slovenia). If the fee is not received within 8 days after the selection, the song will be eliminated from the competition.
